New Staff Hired for Key Initiatives

As Freedom from Hunger expands to achieve the objectives of its Reach for Three Million plan, several recent recruitments have brought us deep expertise and new energy for program innovation and service delivery. Dr. Salvador R. Baldizon (a medical doctor and MPH) was hired as our new Health Protection Specialist to oversee innovations in our Microfinance And Health Protection initiative (MAHP). He will be working directly with MAHP partners, as together we develop and distribute services that protect the health of microfinance clients and the performance of microfinance institutions. Daniel Mensah, a Ghanaian national, is our new Social Franchise Manager, heading up our efforts to market low-cost, high-impact health products in rural areas. These products include insecticide-treated bednets, water purification devices, and even reading glasses. Daniel brings his MBA and social franchising experience within the healthcare industry to this task. Sara Naab, our new Knowledge Manager, brings her Masters of Science in Information and her experience as a knowledge manager to Freedom from Hunger as it enters a new world of information-sharing, real-time collaboration from different locations and the collection and distribution of key documentation. Kim Peeren, also an MPH, has joined Freedom from Hunger as our newest program associate, handling a variety of coordination and technical assistance support activities.  To learn more about positions currently available, follow this link.  To learn more about our expert technical staff, follow this link.
